The home and its future residents
The Settlers Ridge project aims to provide a single-family home with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The future residents, Syretta, a dedicated social worker, and her three children, will soon call this place home.
Morris Habitat, the guiding force behind this project, has ensured that the home remains affordable for the long term. The 30-year deed restriction and the affordable mortgage are just a few ways they’re making homeownership accessible and sustainable.
Our role and commitment
As the roofing contractor for Settlers Ridge, we at Gunner took immense pride in our work. Every shingle laid was a testament to our commitment to quality and our passion for community service. Partnering with GAF, North America’s largest roofing and waterproofing manufacturer, we ensured that the donated roofing materials were installed with precision and care.
This collaboration is a reflection of GAF’s commitment to their social impact initiative, GAF Community Matters. Through this initiative, GAF aims to leverage its roofing expertise, resources, and products to make a positive difference in the community, emphasizing the importance of neighbors and partners coming together for a greater cause.
Looking ahead
The Settlers Ridge project is set to be completed by the end of 2023, and we’re excited to see the final result. But beyond the bricks and mortar, it’s the spirit of community and collaboration that truly makes this project shine.
