As a roofing, siding, and windows contractor, Gunner is driven to provide the best possible service to its customers. That includes doing the installation work efficiently and (above all) correctly.
That dedication to craftsmanship has earned the company many industry certifications, including GAF Master Elite, GAF President’s Club, James Hardie Elite Preferred, Brava Preferred Contractor, and Andersen Certified Contractor, among others. Gunner was also in the inaugural class of recipients for the Brava Excellence Awards.
These honors are bestowed on contractors who demonstrate an exceptional level of knowledge and quality in their work to ensure that a project will be completed successfully. And they are not handed out like candy. The standards are high; the credentials earned.
Here are a few of the industry distinctions we’ve nailed down, including some information on the brand products that we’re delighted to recommend and install:
As a GAF Master Elite contractor, Gunner specializes in the installation of GAF asphalt shingles. GAF has been a leading manufacturer of roofing products for over 125 years, and their dedication to quality shows in their top-of-the-line roofing system.
This system includes everything needed for a durable and long-lasting roof, including tough shingles, adequate attic ventilation, strong roof deck protection, and reliable watertight protection. With so many components working together, the GAF roofing system is sure to give any homeowner peace of mind. And because GAF offers a wide variety of shingle styles and colors, there’s sure to be a perfect match for any home.
As a GAF contractor, Gunner is committed to continuous improvement and providing our customers with the highest protection that GAF offers. This certification is not easy to obtain, and only a select few contractors have received it. Gunner is proud to be one of those contractors.
The GAF President’s Club is an exclusive group of the most successful distributors on the GAF landscape. Members are recognized for their outstanding sales achievements and dedication to providing exceptional customer service. This award is one of the highest honors given by GAF, and its recipients are considered among the best-of-the-best in the industry.
Gunner is a preferred installer for all Brava Roof Tile composite products. To make the Brava preferred list, a contractor must meet stringent qualifications. Brava is looking for roofing companies who have an eye for every detail and an understanding of the value of proper installation – and Gunner makes the grade.
Brava obviously was impressed with our handiwork, particularly one Connecticut roofing project in which we installed their Light Arendale Shake that helped us earn a Brava Excellence Award. This certainly was a prime example of Brava’s eye-popping tile in the field, as the sprawling house where the work was completed featured more than 16 separate sections of roof! Truly spectacular from the ground; even more spectacular from above.
Another Connecticut Brava project we loved featured their Aged Cedar Shake tiles and some our extra-mile service, constructing copper caps for the home chimney and property sheds at our client’s request.
Just landing on the Brava Excellence Awards list was an honor, of course, but we also received the bonus of the roofing brand spreading the word about Gunner through its website (including a permanent photo gallery of the project), social media channels, and through its entire network of business contractors. And since we’ve earned tons of referral work previously, having national exposure can only increase our word-of-mouth reach.
Brava Tile roofing features superior craftsmanship and is well-known for durability and low maintenance requirements. Additionally, they come in an array of colors and styles to match any home’s exterior design aesthetic. And as they boast a Class A fire rating, homeowners can count on enduring protection without sacrificing style or safety.
James Hardie changed the game in the siding industry with their revolutionary fiber cement siding, a composition of sand, cement, and cellulose fibers that form an incredibly strong material. This type of siding is more resistant to fire, water damage, and mold than traditional wood or vinyl options and can be easily painted to match the exterior of your home.
Installation is straightforward, and the material is easy to cut and shape so it fits into even the most challenging areas with ease. And because it’s lightweight, it requires fewer supports than other materials like vinyl or cedar shake. With proper installation and maintenance, it’ll last for decades.
What’s not to like, right? That’s why we’re huge James Hardie siding fans and sought to become a certified installer. We want to be associated with the best.
To become a James Hardie Elite Preferred Contractor, the company requires that applicants have at least five years of exterior construction experience.
Those contractors also must be fully insured, are vetted for customer satisfaction and legal standing, and are required to stay current on latest installation techniques and product information so they can properly educate homeowners and potential customers about them. This includes quarterly training sessions and consistently following James Hardie installation guidelines and warranty requirements on all siding projects.
Gunner checks all those boxes and more, and all the great reviews we’ve been blessed with for Hardie siding installations validate that we’re a worthy representative of Hardie’s Contractor Alliance.
Andersen Windows, a premium windows manufacturer, offers a partner program designed to help contractors become certified installers, giving them up-to-date training and knowledge on how to best work with Andersen’s products. In turn, this gives homeowners peace of mind knowing that their windows are being installed correctly.
That’s why we recommend Andersen for a new windows project – and also why we endeavored to earn brand approval and certification. We do more roofing and siding jobs in general, but that doesn’t mean we’re not as equally committed to being the absolute best on installing windows.
Andersen windows offer superior performance in terms of energy efficiency, durability, security, and aesthetic appeal. They are available in multiple styles, including casement, awning, double-hung, and gliding models as well as specialty shapes.
Further, Andersen windows feature their advanced Fibrex composite frame material – a strong material that is twice as strong as vinyl and can withstand extreme temperatures. The frames require very little maintenance due to their resistance to rotting, splitting, or warping. Andersen windows will stand the test of time. This is a brand that’s easy to get behind.
The above is just the tip of the iceberg as far as what we’ve pursued to be certified in our lines of business. And we’re also a member of the National Roofing Contractors Association and accredited by the Better Business Bureau.
Gunner is proud to have received these awards and certifications. We stand behind our work and continually strive to maintain our high standards.
